Grant Allocation Committee
The ASM Grant Allocation Committee (GAC) is comprised of 9 UW-Madison graduate and undergraduate students who are responsible for awarding grants to registered student organizations (RSOs) for travel, events, and operations. Funding for these grants comes from segregated university fees. Each year, the total funding available for each type of grant is jointly determined by the Student Council and the Student Services Finance Committee. Any registered student organization in good standing with the Office for Student Organizations, Leadership & Involvement (SOLI) is eligible to apply for a grant.
The GAC maintains its own Policies and Procedures. Once the academic year begins, these will be followed consistently for all applicants, and any revisions will not take effect until the following year. The Grant Allocation Committee also complies with UW System Administrative Policy 820, Segregated University Fees as well as local, state, and federal laws.
